Great end to a great week!!

A tremendous THANKS to Andras owner and creator of Caramella Catering in Kingston. http://www.caramellacaterin.com/

An excellent chef and equally good teacher. We learned about fresh ingredients as he took us on a personal tour of his garden. We discovered various fresh herbs such as Italian basil, flat leaf parsley, thyme, mint, lavender, rosemary, onions, chives, and lemon grass. He led the kids through a very thorough step by step process from start to finish as we made eggs, chicken, fresh salsa, quesadillas, followed by ice cream with fresh strawberries for dessert. His charismatic approach towards food, cooking, kitchen safety, and life was a truly engaging experience that we all enjoyed. He even taught the kids how to properly wash their hands and why it is so important. It was such a treat and everyone got to eat off of the wares they had made earlier in the week. Making your own food and eating using your very own hand made plate.....it doesn't get better than that!

Also Andras demonstrated to Conner that any true Chef is going to have to break a few eggs along the way.  See Conner's unique approach in the animated sequence below.

After our cooking lesson and eating lunch we all returned to complete some last minute touches on our art projects before hitting the pool. Everything came together very nicely as we ended the week with a reception for our art exhibit in our very own tie dyed shirts!

I have more photos from camp.....I will post a link on the blog to the full gallery soon!

Many thanks!!!!
Bryan

A sincere thank you for such a memorable week,
Bryan
